Only 10 minutes to town, it's the ideal mountain cottage retreat for solo travelers or couples, or those with one or two children, or two couples that are close friends. Sweetwater was custom-built by the owners, and you'll appreciate the design and decorating style. A vaulted living room opens to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as an “office” with sliding barn-style French doors where you'll find a daybed that converts to a king bed. In the master, which has an en suite bath, you'll find a comfy queen bed where you'll be certain to sleep well! The covered porch is a great place to relax on the sofa, or around the gas fire pit. You can choose to eat inside, or at the outside table for four. On the lower level of the porch you'll find the perfect spot for a nap – the swinging bed! In the evenings, you can watch a movie on DVD, or any of the cable options on TV and also Netflix. Or gather at the round dining table for a board game – there are a bunch to choose from. You can bring your dog to Sweetwater, and you and the dog will appreciate the fenced yard. ​​​​​​​ Just outside the door you'll find lots of trails – to the river, along the river, up hills and down. Chances are you'll not meet another soul, and feel like you have a state park all to yourself.
