Back at the house, the spacious great room overlooks the undisturbed dune line with a horizon view of the ocean. Gorgeous hardwood flooring is installed throughout, and the open-concept layout allows everyone to spend quality time together. The living area features plenty of comfortable seating and a 60" HDTV with home theater system. There's also a mini fridge for convenient beverages and a gas fireplace that can be used during Spring and Fall. Two sliding doors lead out to an expansive wrap-around deck where you can lounge in the sun or take a relaxing soak in the 7-person hot tub. Climb the stairs to the crow's nest to enjoy those salty breezes and panoramic ocean views. Back inside, everyone can pitch in with meal prep using the well-equipped kitchen. Sit down for a family meal at the dining table for ten, or al fresco on the screened porch. Also on the top level you'll find four of the five bedrooms arranged in a split floor plan with two bedrooms and one full bath on each side of the house. The fifth bedroom is an ensuite, located by itself on the lower level for plenty of privacy. Bed and bath linens are always included at no extra charge, and the beds will be made with fresh sheets and pillowcases prior to your arrival. Sandpiper is just 1.5 miles north of the popular Salvo Day Use Area, where you can experience the other side of the island. Situated on the Pamlico Sound and maintained by the National Park Service, this family-friendly soundside beach includes a picnic area and restroom facilities.
